Come to the very first TROPICAL ECSTATIC DANCE! In the heart of Brazil, in Bahia, in our lovely Serra Grande. We are gathering in the legendary culture hot spot of the Afro-Brazilian culture, the Barracão D'Angola.

ECSTATIC DANCE is a free-form movement practice and celebration. Here we will be exploring body movements, world of music, rhythms of nature and mix of cultures. The only rules are: no shoes, no booze, no chit-chatting. We invite you to express yourself, explore your body and active your spirit. Connect with others, be the authentic you. From flow into staccato, from chaos into joy, you will find your stillness.

Polarny / @soundtravelerbypolarny is a music producer, DJ, tour guide, promoter. His song „Trip To Cuba” won the Ninja Tune Records contest. He is known for hypnotizing multicultural tropical journeys. He’s been performing conscious dance events (Ecstatic Dance, 5Rhythms, Daybreaker & more) for over 10 years in places like New York, Toronto, Berlin, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Havana, Bogota, Rio de Janeiro. He works with cultural tours, music festivals and sacred ceremonies.

Gabriele / @casa_lixozero will lead the opening warm-up practice to connect us with our authentic selves. She will help us let go of judgements and expectations. Within the emptiness we start to explore, feel, learn and celebrate.

Sabrina / @sujatatapelo is our wonderful singer, dancer and life enthusiast who will receive you with open arms and let you feel at home. Who knows, she might provoke you on the dance floor, too…

Anelise / @corpaesquiza is a massage therapist, she works with yoga, breath, meditation, cacao and dance. She is your shamanista to find peace and beauty within.

The events are meant to feature many talented people from the community and beyond - artists, therapists, dancers, chefs… Connect with Polarny to bring your talent to the circle.

We accept contributions. They are shared between the space, artists, hosts and facilitators. Tickets at the door (limited space): R$20 via pix or cash
